What is wax?
Is a natural substance made in the outer ear canal to protect the ear.
Appointment Prep
Use olive oil once a day for 5 days prior to appointment. This will soften the wax and make easy removal

What To Expect
The consultation will involve an examination of the ear using video otoscopy.
If wax is ready to be removed then we will continue with microsuction.
If the wax is too hard continued use of oil at home will be required and appointment will be rebooked.
Aftercare
Continued olive oil use is reccomended once a week to keep ear wax soft and to prevent build up.
